Follow these tips from DOGSWELL® Employees to make sure where ever you go, your pet will feel at home!

-“Bring their bed and blanket along; it will make them feel comforted when they recognize the familiar scent of home” -Rachel Murray, Customer Service Coordinator

-“Bring your pet’s favorite toy along; they will have tons of energy from being confined in a small space for the duration of the trip. Make sure to bring that toy out and have a play session with your pet once you arrive at the hotel, otherwise they may have trouble falling asleep” -Jenny Williams, Marketing Manager

“When I fly with my dogs I always do my best to prepare them for a long trip in their carriers. For starters I feed them a nice size meal and give them plenty of water about 1 hour before I leave for the airport, so that I am sure that they have time to really digest their food and go to the bathroom before I have to put them in their carrier. This helps eliminate the chances of them having an accident and also keeps them from getting hungry or thirsty while in flight. I also bring puppy pads with me so that I can take them out in the airport bathroom before I board and let them empty their bladders one last time before the flight. Also, during the flight I will give them little pieces of jerky treats to praise them for being good and staying quiet.”- Alissa Riach, Event Coordinator

-“A lot of Airports have grassy areas where you can walk your dogs after you pass through security, those are always helpful.” -Son Nguyen, IT Administrator
